New Year, New Name and a New Place

Hi, after almost ten years of blogging and selling online, I’m changing my selling name. If you are here via my former blog:  Painter of the Past/ Pear Tree Primitives, Thanks for clicking over! My previous selling name was Pear Tree Primitives (on Etsy and through various Primitives selling sites) and my work was primarily early American portraiture and folk art. My art has been included in Early American Life magazine, and I was honored to have been chosen for their Artisan Directory for several consecutive years. My new “name” is Suzanne Davis Studio. Why am I changing it? Well, the new name is actually my real name and the Studio part just gives a location and place where I get ideas onto paper and get messy, or not, with paints, pencils and paper. Simple as that.

I still love early American art and folk art and realism and detail! I also love children’s literature, and I’m learning to love digital art. I hope to incorporated and reflect all of those elements (with more thrown in) into my art and this is where I’ll post those new creations.

This particular page, called “Journal”, will be the sharing page of WIPS (works-in-progress), and here I will also share news, ideas, and thoughts.

Thanks for stopping in, and  please let me know if this new “Journal” page works by leaving a comment!
